The Robertson Sewerage Scheme has been assessed through an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) under the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The EIS was placed on public exhibition during 2008 and comments were received and assessed. A determination report was then prepared and approved at a Wingecarribee Shire Council meeting of 10 June 2009.

Sewerage Treatment Plant
Part of the AJ Lucas contract with Wingecarribee Shire Council includes the design and construction of a new sewerage treatment plant for the Robertson Sewerage Scheme. This is in addition to the pipe-laying activities and new pump station within the village.
While Council has determined the overall location and design principles for the plant, AJ Lucas has prepared detailed designs for the structure and internal workings of the high technology plant.

Council invited public comments on the design documents during October 2011. Construction work on the plant began in early 2012.
